Pediatric Music Therapy

Terms and Conditions

Effective October 15, 2026

Pediatric Music Therapy, LLC (PMT), based in Tennessee, operates www.pediatricmusictherapy.com. These terms describe use of the website, individual Collective membership, and the PMT resources covered below.

1 Accounts and educational use

PMT accounts are for adults. Use your own account rather than a shared login. Individual account access does not provide access for a colleague, department, or institution.

PMT resources provide education and support for professional practice and family learning. They do not replace individualized assessment, treatment planning, clinical judgment, or guidance from a patient’s treating team. Use resources in a way that fits the patient, setting, and your professional responsibilities.

2 Membership and renewal

The price, billing period, and included benefits for your selected plan are shown before purchase. The current public Collective membership is billed annually and renews automatically until canceled. The annual fee is charged at the beginning of each paid membership period.

Membership provides the benefits included in your selected plan. It does not mean that every separately sold Shop product or course is included. These terms do not change existing or grandfathered membership prices.

3 Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel automatic renewal at any time through the cancellation option in your member account or by contacting PMT. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You retain your included membership access until that time, and the membership does not renew for another period.

Membership fees are nonrefundable, including if you change your mind, stop using the membership, or cancel during a paid period. This does not limit any refund or other remedy required by applicable law.

If a charge appears incorrect or you cannot access a benefit you purchased, contact PMT so the issue can be reviewed. Canceling automatic renewal does not itself issue a refund. This membership refund provision does not establish a refund policy for separately purchased Shop products or for a CMTE opportunity with its own disclosed terms.

4 Individual resource use permission

Your individual membership allows you to use included PMT resources for your own professional learning and clinical work. You may share resources specifically designated as patient or caregiver handouts with your own patients and caregivers.

Permission to share designated handouts does not include sharing clinician education pages, complete guides, recordings, or source files with colleagues. Do not place resources in a shared staff library, resell them, or post them publicly. Team and institutional access require separate permission.

After ordinary cancellation, you may continue using downloads obtained during a paid membership under the same individual-use and designated-handout permissions. Access to the online library, new downloads, and updates ends when the paid membership period ends. Existing permissions and any separately agreed purchase terms are not changed retroactively.

5 Identifiable patient information

Do not submit identifiable patient information through contact forms, profiles, testimonials, discussions, uploads, or any other PMT website feature. Avoid names, images, recordings, dates, or combinations of details that could identify a patient. Describe clinical questions without identifying information.

6 Separate purchases and third party material

Resource-use permission in these terms applies to PMT content included with individual membership. A separately purchased resource or team agreement may have its own stated permissions. References and links to third-party material do not transfer ownership or grant rights that PMT does not hold.

When you follow an external link, the destination’s own terms and privacy practices apply. PMT’s educational discussion of a resource does not make PMT responsible for an external service’s operations.

7 Concerns and CMTE grievances

For account, billing, or resource questions, contact PMT through www.pediatricmusictherapy.com/contact. Concerns about a PMT continuing music therapy education (CMTE) opportunity are handled under the separate CMTE Grievance and Appeal Policy. That process does not limit rights available under applicable law.

8 Changes and existing agreements

Updates to website terms apply prospectively from the stated effective date. Material changes affecting an existing membership will be communicated before they take effect, consistently with that membership’s agreement and applicable law. These terms do not change existing or grandfathered prices, shorten a paid access period, or remove previously granted rights.

Questions about these terms may be sent through www.pediatricmusictherapy.com/contact.

CMTE Grievance and Appeal Policy

PMT’s continuing education program supports music therapists’ professional learning in pediatric practice. Participants may raise questions, concerns, or grievances about a PMT CMTE opportunity, including its content, delivery, access, administration, evaluation, or award of credit.

PMT will provide or link to this policy in the participant materials for each CMTE opportunity.

1 Submit a grievance

Email Amy Love at info@pediatricmusictherapy.com with the subject “CMTE grievance.” Include your name, the course or opportunity title, relevant dates, a description of the concern, and the resolution you are requesting. You may attach relevant supporting information, but do not include identifiable patient information or unnecessary sensitive information.

Submit a grievance within 30 calendar days after the scheduled opportunity ends or, for a self-paced opportunity, after your documented course completion date. You may raise access or participation concerns while the opportunity is ongoing; do not wait to complete a course you cannot access.

2 PMT response

PMT will acknowledge receipt within 5 business days. Amy Love will review the concern and relevant course information and may ask for clarification. Within 20 business days of receipt, PMT will provide a written response describing the outcome and any proposed next steps, or an update explaining why more time is needed.

3 Request reconsideration

If the initial response does not resolve your concern, you may request reconsideration by emailing Amy Love at info@pediatricmusictherapy.com with the subject “CMTE grievance appeal.” Explain which part of the response you are asking PMT to reconsider and provide any additional relevant information.

Request reconsideration within 30 calendar days after PMT’s written grievance decision. An acknowledgment or progress update does not start this appeal period. PMT will acknowledge the appeal within 5 business days and provide a written appeal response within 20 business days of receipt, or an update explaining why more time is needed.

During reconsideration, Amy Love will review the original grievance, the response, and the additional information provided, then explain PMT’s appeal decision in writing.

4 Unresolved grievances

After exhausting PMT’s grievance and appeal process, a participant may submit an unresolved CMTE grievance to the Continuing Education Committee of the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT). For information about submitting the grievance, contact CBMT’s Continuing Education Coordinator through the current contact information at www.cbmt.org/approved-providers/faqs/ or use www.cbmt.org/contact/.

This CMTE process does not replace general account support, change a course’s cancellation or refund disclosures, or limit rights under applicable law.
