Hey, I'm Amy!

I'm a board-certified music therapist who has spent my career in pediatric medical settings. Most of my experience has been in pediatric oncology where I've supported patients through procedures, diagnoses, long admissions, grief, end-of-life care and all sorts of complicated moments that ask a lot of us as clinicians.

I've also helped build music therapy services, supervised interns, and created programs and resources to make this work more thoughtful and sustainable. I've taught and presented on music therapy along the way but what matters most to me is helping the music therapists feel less alone and more equipped, while also creating resources to help children and families feel more supported, more informed and safer in the medical world.

How PMT Came To Be

Pediatric Music Therapy (PMT) evolved from my early experience in helping to establish a music therapy program at a nationally recognized hospital, where I realized just how much there was to learn. Without the built-in support of an internship, I found myself wanting any practical, honest, clinically grounded guidance I could find. I started creating and sharing the kinds of resources I had. Over time, that grew into PMT, a space shaped by real clinical work and conversations with music therapists and students around the world.
